Our beloved pastor Rolando Cruz fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished his race here on earth, January 26, 2019.  Pastor Rolando battled cancer for 11 months.  God greatly used him while he was in the hospital to share the gospel and to see several men come to know Jesus.

Rolando's son - Ruben - has served as worship leader and youth pastor for the past 7 years.  Shalom Baptist Church in Guatemala City, appointed Ruben interim pastor of Shalom Jireh in Conevisa, in February 2019.  We have watched God work in Ruben's life over the years and we are so proud to come along side him to support him and encourage him.
