A group of High School Students went to Conevisa, Zacapa, Guatemala the summer of 2012.   Many of them were exposed to poverty for the first time.  Upon returning home, they committed to raise $3,000 to start a feeding ministry.

 

In January of 2013, the church began feeding the children.  They were bringing their own cup/bowl and lining up outside the church.  Many children from the same family had to share the same container.

 

Soon the children were provided new bowls.  Then they were brought into the church where they now sit at tables and enjoy a time of devotion before enjoying a cooked breakfast on platters.

 

Currently, the ministry provides breakfast three mornings a week for about 250 children at a cost of about $500 a month. Our vision is to feed all the children in the village five mornings a week. Your gift can help feed the hungry children.
