God took a retired couple from Alabama and sent them to Guatemala where they led a team of students from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, to the small rural village of Conevisa.  Many people came to know the Lord. It was while sharing Christ in the poverty-stricken village that God planted a seed of desire to build a church, a place where these new believers could worship and grow in their faith.
